Tent card with suspended flowerpot

One of my favorite bloggers, Inna, made a beautiful tent card.  Inna mentions that she first saw the flowerpot idea in Nails and Quilling.  The cards looks so lovely that I couldn't resist the temptation and made one.  My MIL's birthday was the excuse!

MIL's name is "Rosa" (Rose).
Card's back.  I added an extra tag, blank, in case she wanted to recycle the card.

I also made a treat box and we put a gift inside it.  I used the stamp pad to color the flower flaps.  I got the file from SCAL forum.  Unfortunately, I couldn't recall the designers name.

Erased Followers by Accident

I'm terrible sorry!  I really don't know what I did, but I noticed some people's pictures did not show up.  I apologize for my mistake.  I tried fixing it but couldn't figure out.  Sorry once again.

One of my kid's coworker got a promotion and my kid asked me to make a card for Karla.  The card measures were 8.5" x11 1/4"

I made the card using SCAL3 and the Cougar (Black Cat). Info about the cutter here.  I know Sherrie will be more that happy to answer any questions you may have.

Birthday Card and Box

The card and the box belong with the 04/13 post.  The card theme matches the party "Black Jack Night" theme that the party had.  The papers that I used to make the box were spotted by V. when we were working on her cards.  At the end, there were not enough sheets to make the cards that we needed.  I though that using the papers for the box would please her.

Inside the box, there was a money holder card.  the leaves was part of the money holder card decoration.  Instead of money, I wrote a note for V. and the money I made Kawasaki roses with the money.  No glue was used so she could unfold the bills and spend them.

SCAL3 and Black Cat cut outs

I used SCAL3 and my Black Cat to make these two projects.  I saw this type of cut out here http://www.allthingspaper.net/2012/04/p ... uotes.html and decided to make something similar for two very especial ladies.  The big difference is that the ones I saw are hand made.

Hope you like them.

Cake slice Box

I enjoyed making this box for my child's friend, K.  K had requested my daughter this box after seeing one I made last year.
Here is another cut that was used to decorate a vase.

40th birthday invitation card

V is going to celebrate her birthday and asked me to make her cards.  I was so happy!  She chose the papers from a stash I have.  She wanted to buy punches to go with the mat holding "40."  Instead, I used a free file from here  http://www.sherykdesigns-blog.com/2012/03/free-svg-dxf-gsd-tags.html.  The heart, diamond and the rest of the figures were in SCAL's basic shapes.  I used mounting tape to add depth to the card.

My kid's birthday card

My daughter got the card a couple of weeks ago.  She liked and wants her whole name done in the same manner... ouch!

Anyway, here is how I did it. After the letter was formed and the strips had been glued to the background, I turned the paper over and gently pushed back the holes left by the pins so they wouldn't be noticeable once the project was over.

Quilled Card

My daughter's birthday was this past Monday and I made her a card using the bee hive technique, which can be found here http://susanquilling.blogspot.com/2011/12/beehive-flowers.html

I saw a tutorial and they recommended about an inch to start the following curl.  However, I used 1 1/2 inch and tried to tighten the coil.  I still like Susan's better.  I'll post the whole picture once she sees the card.

Here is the card topper I had made before I realized I didn't like how the curls and coils looked.

Another V card

This is the card that I originally had made for DH; however, I needed more blue.  I really enjoy working with blue and chocolate colors.

Valentine's Day card

I made this Valentine's card for DH.  I decided to use non-traditional colors for this card.  I think red is too girly, anyway.  I only used Spellbinders and a $1.00 stamp from Michael's

To my followers

I want to thank you for being my followers.  I'm delighted.   You all have marvelous blog and are inspiring!

This is a sample of the Christmas cards I made.  The file belongs to one of the ladies at the BC UK forum.  Very talented lady.  The original file is a pop up that appears when one opens the card.  I thought this was better for what I needed.  The blue paper in the background was iridescent and looked like an aurora Boreas.    Cut with the BC and SCAL3.

Embroidery and quilling - new born card

One of DH's coworkers got a bundle of joy recently.  Here is the card I made for the happy family.  I also used the brad maker because I really like to personalize cards as much as I can.  The frame is a nesties.

Daughter's Grad card

I made this card using spellbinders and SCAL.  She graduated from SDRC; hence the patriotic colors.
